Divine Koi

When your animals get sick there is a vet to take care of them. However when our koi get sick we are sometimes left  high and dry and must go and seek out advice from the closest pet store or koi farm. In a lot of instances we are pounded with jargon and given a truck load of chemicals to dump into our pond.  This often leads to the annihilation of our ponds natural ecosystem and at the end of the day we are sometimes left with even a bigger problem than what we started with. This can lead to us spending loads of money on the wrong medication and ultimately losing thousands on our prize possessions and sometimes whole collections. What we are dealing with here is misdiagnosis. More often than not it is not through the fault of you, or the dealer, but simply through the lack of being able to see the problem first hand.

Yes … It’s that time of year again!

The South African Koi Keepers Society (SAKKS) is hosting the Annual Koi Show at Cresta Shopping Centre this year the 17th & 18th of May 2008! And from good sources we heard that 2008 will be the biggest to date!

We are open 7 days a week and our trading hours are from 8h30 to 17h00.  We are also open on public holidays.. Be it rain or shine there are always friendly and competent staff on hand to meet your koi needs and requirements. 

Some people ain't sure when the word vaccination is used. Is it a good thing? Why is it important? Most pedigree animals are vacinated these days... so are our Koi, which we consider as pedigree animals.
