Dropsy

Dropsy in itself isn't a disease, it is the name given to an internal swelling in the fish which can be as a reult of mulitple causes. Because of it's characteristics, Dropsy is reasonably easy to recognise. A fish suffering from Dropsy will present with a swollen body this can cause the scales to rise (often referred to as the 'pine - cone' effect) and bulging eyes.  Dropsy is extremely serious and difficult to treat as the internal organs are often damaged.  Having said that if it is not in it's advanced stages it is possible it may respond to Sabbactisum which can be used to treat all bacterial related problems.
